1. I'll be using a set of my emoticons for this example. Feel free to download any of mine or use your own. So download the file and unzip its contents - all the emoticons.

2. Log into your ftp server. Then go to where emoticons are stored for cutenews:
+ main server - ftp.YOUR SERVER.COM (something like that)
+ cutenews
+ data
+ emoticons

3. Go to where you emoticons are stored on your computer and select all of them. Once selected, drag and drop into the emoticons folder of your ftp server.





4. Once you've uploaded your emoticons successfully. Go to you cutenews login page and log in.

5. After logging in, go to system configurations and select the general tab (options >> system configurations >> general). You should see a field labeled smilies. Simple enter the name of your smilies into this field, separating each one by commas.



6. Hit "Save Changes" and you are done!
