Radial Blur

to

1. Open up your image, I am using this image of Lindsay Lohan, you can use a different image if you want to.

2. First you have to duplicate your layer, you can do that by going over to the "Layers" window, right clicking the first layer and pressing "duplicate layer..."

3. Making sure you are on layer 2, you want to go up to Fliter > Blur > Radial Blur..., you should set "Amount" to 100, "Blur Method" on spin, and "Quality" on best.

4. It will take a second to process. Now we have to fix how we can't see Linsay's face! I took my eraser and made sure I was in "basic brushes" I got a big soft round brush, size - 404 px. Now try erasing around Lindsay's face. It may take you a few trys so you might have to go to Edit > Step Backward (Ctrl+Atl+Z).

5. Your layers should now look like this:

6. Now the image might have a little bit of grainy-ness in the radial part. So you might want to take the blur tool and a soft round brush, size - 65px, and smooth that out. Make sure you move your brush in a circular motion, that follows the radial blur. Picture indicates where.

7. After you finished smoothing all the grainy parts out, you should flatten or merge your layers. You can go to Layer > Merge Down (Ctrl+E). Your finished image should look like this.

You are now done with your radial blur technique! You can add text, make adjustments, or just leave it how it is!
